South Project - residency and exchange programs Various closing dates
In 2005 the South Project is focused on developing residencies and exchanges at the likes of RMIT, Monash University, the Gertrude Cotemporary Art Spaces in Melbourne and international art spaces. Each residency has its own set of criteria and application deadlines. The residencies are open to artists and craftspeople from the southern hemisphere. 2005 Alice Springs Beanie Festival Competition Call for entries

Temptation of Craft - Korea Closes 30 June
Australian craftsmen and women are invited to submit their works for selection for the 4th International Craft Competition in Korea. The competition will give a glimpse into the present and future of crafts. Categories include metal, ceramics, wood and lacquer work, textiles, glass, paper, leather, bamboo and stone craft. 2005 International conference on Cyberworlds Call for papers - 23 May

Electrofringe
A hands-on, all-in new media arts festival dedicated to unearthing emergent forms, highlighting nascent trends and encouraging young and emerginging artists to explore technology and its creative possibilities. Expressions of interest are now being sought from new media artists, curators, artsworkers, writers and producers.
