Australia Council’s 2005 Indigenous Art Centre Program  Closes 29 July
Indigenous art and craft centres are invited to apply for up to $25,000 under the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Board of the Australia Council’s Indigenous Art Centre Program. The program is a 3 year initiative to assist Indigenous art centres to undertake projects that focus on the development of professional visual art and craft practice of the centre and its member artists. Australia Council's Skills and Development Grants   Closes 1 August
The Australia Council invites individuals and groups to apply for their Skills and Development Grants, which seek to promote excellence in the arts by providing professional development opportunities for visual artists, craftspeople, arts writers and curators. Studio Residencies, General Professional Development, and Young and Emerging Artists Initiative Grants are offered. Download guidelines and application form Australia Council website

Arts Tasmania Grants Program - TAS   Closes 1 August
The Arts Tasmania Assistance to Individuals Program provides both grants and loans for local, national or international projects to Tasmanian artists. Visit Arts Tasmania website for details

Ruth Tuck Scholarship - SA   Closes 29 July
Offered to South Australian applicants 26 years of age or under the scholarship was created to honour Ms Tuck's work as a painter and teacher of distinction. The $12,500 scholarship is to assist with professional development and training in the visual arts and design. Application form an guidelines available from the SAYAB website close July 29. Young Blood Designers Market   Closes 14 July
Young Blood: Designers Market a new market dedicated soley to design will be held as part of Sydney Design 05. Designers are invited to register their interest and send a proposal for participation in the event. Entry form

Willoughby Art Prize 2005   Closes 17 July

Sculpture by the Sea Cottesloe 2006 Closes 1 August
Regional Western Australian sculptors are being invited to submit an application to the 2nd annual Sculpture by the Sea, which will be held Cottesloe Beach. Entry form can be downloaded from the Sculpture by the Sea website

2005 Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize Closes 5 August

GC O’Donnell essay prize   Closes 14 October
A prize of AUD $3,500 will be awarded to the author of an essay displaying original thinking on a topic of the author’s choice regarding copyright and the protection of the interests of authors. Entries must be unpublished. Visit the Australian Copyright Council for guidelines and entry form

Regional Headworks program - Western Australia   Closes 18 July

The Power Institute Studio Residency 2006   Closes 25 July
Cité International des Arts, Paris

Australia/United States Residency Partnership
ISCP, New York and K. David G. Edwards, Margery Edwards Charitable Giving Trust and the American Australian Association have offered to partially fund an Australian artist and curator to participate in the ISCP residency program and are seeking partnership organisations.
